Expo City Dubai is launching a two-year graduate program for Emirati talent

Expo City Dubai has launched a new graduate development program for UAE Nationals, which aims to create future leaders in real estate and sustainable urban development.

The Exposure programme, presented by Expo City Dubai’s Real Estate and Development division, is a relevant, two-year program designed for young Emirati students. It aims to equip participants with practical knowledge, technical skills and leadership skills across the real estate value chain.

The plan supports Expo City’s role as a master developer and aligns with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the D33 Economic Agenda, both of which prioritize sustainable growth, innovation and the integration of Emirati talent into the workforce. Expo City said the program will help bridge the gap between academic studies and professional leadership, while contributing to the UAE’s transition to a knowledge-based economy.

Open to UAE Nationals who have graduated within the last two years, the program targets candidates in fields including urban planning, engineering and business. Participants will rotate through a number of functions during the first year, including design and development, project delivery, sales and marketing, program controls and procurement. In the second year, graduates will do a specific job based on performance, interest and business needs.

Candidates will work directly on the main program of Expo City Dubai, gain knowledge about city-level development and receive training from senior leaders within the Real Estate and Development team. Upon completion of the program, successful students will be considered for immediate advancement into key roles within the division.

Ahmed Al Khatib, Chief Development and Delivery Officer at Expo City Dubai, said: “As a master developer, Expo City Dubai is committed to building smart, sustainable, and resilient communities while contributing to the continued prosperity of the UAE. This new initiative harnesses the power of the next generation of Emirati talent by immersing them in all aspects of real estate with skills to sustain the process of real estate development in the city.”

Marjan Faraidooni, Chief Human Resources Officer and Head of Education and Culture at Expo City Dubai, said: “The Exposure Program demonstrates our commitment to developing the skills and confidence of young Emiratis.

Applications for the program opened on December 10, with successful candidates joining Expo City Dubai on a two-year temporary contract. The move builds on the organization’s existing talent development efforts, including the Changemakers Academy and its Back to Work program, which supports innovation, entrepreneurship and workforce participation.

Expo City Dubai said the initiative will help secure a future-ready pipeline of Emirati talent as the city continues to expand its residential, hospitality and mixed-use developments.
