AD Ports Group signs equipment JV with CEI Group in Pakistan

AD Ports Group on Thursday announced its second major partnership in two days, with a new partnership with Pakistan’s CEI Supply Chain, the country’s leading logistics service provider.
On Wednesday, AD Ports Group launched its JV with ABSTO Group of Tajikistan followed by a signing ceremony in Karachi to announce its cargo light network that delivers door-to-door solutions across the region.
AD Ports Group will acquire a 51 percent shareholding in the new entity. This also strengthens its presence in Pakistan, an important South Asian market and gateway to the Central Asian Group corridor. It will be merged into AD Ports Group from Q1 2026.
The strategic partnership with CEI Supply Chain is another step in AD Ports Group’s plans to directly link its port infrastructure with inland transport networks.
The new company will enhance CEI’s operations in Pakistan, including key offices in Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot and Islamabad. By combining these local capabilities with the global reach of AD Ports Group, the joint venture aims to capture a significant share of the market, especially in high growth areas such as automotive, retail, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), and energy.
The partnership with CEI will give the JV strong access to customers across the country and a strong base for market penetration.

Established in 1995, CEI Supply Chain is Pakistan’s leading logistics and logistics provider, offering integrated, end-to-end solutions including air/sea transportation, logistics, logistics, and distribution, warehousing and logistics for sectors such as automotive, textiles, and telecommunications.
The new JV caps a year of expansion for AD Ports Group in Pakistan, where it has established itself as a major investor in the Port of Karachi. To date, the group has committed US $295 million to develop and upgrade its terminals in Karachi. It has also recently entered into a long-term agreement with Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), a leading processor of agricultural commodities, to develop a clean bulk storage facility at Karachi Port.
