Saudi aviation regulator approves Jetex for ground handling services at Red Sea International Airport

The General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia has granted Jetex a license to provide ground and business aviation management services at the Red Sea International Airport, strengthening the Kingdom’s general aviation capabilities.

The license was granted in partnership with Red Sea International Airport and announced during the 2025 Procurement and Transport Conference in Riyadh. It enables Jetex to bring its full range of private aviation services to the airport, aimed at improving service levels, efficiency and overall experience for premium and business travelers.

GACA said this approval represents an important step to improve general and business aviation services throughout the Kingdom, in line with Vision 2030 and the aviation plan under the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.

Jetex’s new license strengthens private aviation

This move also shows the rapid growth of the general aviation industry in Saudi Arabia. Recent regulatory approvals have supported the entry of several international private jet operators, highlighting the growing role of the State in business and private aviation. GACA said it continues to empower qualified international operators while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and compliance.

Awad Alsulami, Vice President of GACA, said: “The issuance of this license shows the continued growth of general aviation at the Red Sea International Airport and its growing role in supporting high-quality tourism in the destination of The Red Sea. 2030.”

Ahmad Darwish, Group Chief Administrative Officer of Red Sea Global, said the license represents a milestone in the development of the airport. “The issuance of this Jetex license is a milestone for Red Sea International Airport and the foundation of our desire to open a new level of general aviation in Saudi Arabia,” he said.
