UAE Weather: Rainy weather on Tuesday and Wednesday

UAE weather forecasters expect more rain in the country this week, the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said.

The NCM expects light to moderate rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, especially over the islands and some northern areas, while it is expected that there will be scattered areas and rain in the country.

From late Saturday to late Sunday morning, the country experienced rain of varying strength, starting over the waters of the Arabian Gulf and the islands, then extending down to the coastal areas to include Abu Dhabi, and Ajman, umm al Qiaiwain, and Abman Al Khaima.

During the midday period, the rain reached the northern and eastern areas. The highest rainfall was recorded at SAQR Port at 12.5mm.

Based on satellite images and weather radar data, a decrease in cloud cover in the country was observed on Monday, with clouds concentrated over the sea, islands and areas in the north and east, leading to a decrease in the chance of rain.

The NCM expects the passage of a wave of heavy rain on Thursday and Friday, with the effects starting over the Western regions and gradually continuing to affect Abu Dhabi during the midday morning.

On Friday afternoon, the rain is expected to be extended to include the northern regions, Al Ain, and the Eastern regions, with cloud amounts decreasing in the evening and night.

On Saturday, the cloud levels will decrease significantly over the UAE, and the chances of rain will decrease, it is possible that the low clouds will be low and in the area in the northern parts of the country.

Due to the instability of the atmosphere at this time, the formation of some local clouds is possible, especially during the daytime.

The winds will be south-east, becoming north-west, limited to new and strong at times, especially with respectable clouds, raising dust and sand and leading to reduced horizontal visibility.

The sea will be moderate, rough at times, especially with clouds, in the Arabian Gulf and the sea of ​​Oman.
