Recently, Paramount released a new promotional poster for Starfleet Academythe Star Trek: Discovery The spinoff begins airing on January 15th. Usually, that promo would be designed to attract older fans while giving potential new fans a better idea of what the franchise is all about.
Unfortunately, Starfleet Academy The PRO Poster failed on all levels, which is sure to anger many of the existing fanbase while also confusing the audience who will not be getting what they should expect from the show.

Like many people, I stumbled on Starfleet Academy promo poster for my media feed. Flipping from top to bottom, my first thought was, “well, the polycule in this show looks like it’s very happy.” As I kept scrolling and saw the name of the show, I asked (more like, if I’m honest) The obvious question: this indeed should be a star trek show?
Usually, a Star Trek poster features the characters in their epic SCI-FI setting, usually with the Starship lying in the background. In addition to promoting a show or a movie, such posters serve a very meaningful purpose: they assure existing fans how this new project will feel like a classic tour.
