Real Betis midfielder Sergi Altimira has admitted that his relationship with Barcelona is still strained before facing them this weekend. The Catalan midfielder grew up within an hour of Barcelona and spent time at La Masia before plying his trade with Sabadell.
After impressing at Sabadell in the third season however, Barcelona were interested in bringing him back to the club, but GetEFE came forward and agreed to a presentation with Altimira. The same summer he signed for los azulones, betis were convinced enough of his ability to pay his release clause.
