AT&T maintains diversity plans amid Trump pressure on organizations

AT & T splits its diversity, equity and Faka (Dei) programs, becoming the latest company to eliminate policies as the Trump administration continues to push for the elimination of the actions process.

The telecommunications giant, with 100,000 American workers, wrote a letter to the Federal Carthage Commission on Monday saying it was ending its policies related to depi following legal shifts following such programs.

AT&T’s announcement came after several companies, including Amazon, Meta, Lowe’s and McDonald’s, pulled back on their dei plans.

Both major phone carriers, Verizon Communications and T-Mobile, have also ended their plans.

President Donald Trump during his first week in office closed all Dei offices throughout the Federal Government and Carr vowed to use all available tools to eliminate programs from his controlled companies.

President Donald Trump has shut down all dei offices across the federal government during his first week in office.

AT & T agreed in November 2024 to buy some wireless spectrum licenses from US mobiles in a $1.02 billion deal that needs approval from the FCC, according to Reuters.

He added that AT&T will not use hiring criteria based on race, gender or sexual orientation and the company has removed all dei training.
