Thirty-four percent of voters view the economy negatively in a new Fox News Poll

Voters’ views of the economy have been skewed in recent months, as economic concerns are helping to bring back the President Donald Trump The White House is now equal to its approval ratings in the latest Fox News Poll.
The poll, which was conducted on Friday and Monday, found that three-quarters of voters have a negative view of the economy – with 76 percent of respondents saying that the national economic situation is “good” in their view, according to FOX News Poll.
Voters had similar views on their financial situation, with 60% rating themselves neither good nor poor, and 40% saying they were in good or very good shape.
A majority of voters said they approve of Trump’s handling of the economy, with 38% expressing approval. While 77% of Republicans said they approve of the President’s handling of the economy, only 25% and 6% of Democrats expressed approval.

A 2-to-2 majority of Trump voters are more positive about the current economy than the previous President Joe Bidenand respondents break 62% to 32%, respectively.
Democrats are about 40 percentage points more likely than Republicans to blame Trump, while 42% of respondents approve of Trump compared to 53% who say Biden. The candidates are almost identical to the overall answer, with 62% saying Trump and 29% saying Biden.

The poll showed that by a margin of 31 points, most voters say the Trump Administration’s policies have hurt them. That holds the same power until the end of the bid period, when voters say by a 30-point mark the Biden administration Economic policies they have done more to hurt than to help their money. In both areas, nearly three-quarters of voters on the other side of the aisle said they were hurt by the President’s policies.

Food costs are a particular pain point for voters, as the poll asked whether the cost of goods had increased, decreased or remained the same compared to the previous year. A majority of 85% said they had increased, while 10% reported a decrease and 5% said there was no change.

Bills of Use And health care costs are also on the rise, with 78% of voters reporting higher utility bills and 67% saying they face higher health care costs compared to a year ago.
Additionally, two-thirds of voters said they would Housing costs increased last year.
Electricity prices is where voters who responded to the survey reported more relief, with 54% reporting increases and 30% saying their gas costs have decreased.

“The situation is not dire,” said Republican pollster Daron Shaw, who helped poll the FOX News poll for Democrat Chris Anderson. “People fight the needs and blame those in power. What’s interesting is watching the Democrats get politically because of the problems they caused – and that hurt them in 2024. But that’s politics.”
