Saudi is preparing for the launch of EVTol Air Mobility

The Helicopter Company (THC), a sponsor of the Saudi Arabian Public Fund, has signed a strategic agreement with Archer Aviation Inc. and Red Sea Global (RSG) to introduce electric takeoff and landing (EVTOL) aircraft in the Kingdom.

The partnership, announced at the 2025 Dubai Airshow, aims to establish a “sandbox” testing framework to support the integration of advanced Air Mobility systems into Saudi Arabia’s travel and tourism infrastructure.

The agreement marks one of the first steps to export evtol technology to the country. The partners will collaborate on the development and testing of Archer’s Midning Air taxis, focusing on their performance, regulatory compliance, passenger experience, and operational readiness under real-world conditions. The framework will involve close collaboration with the General Civil Aviation Authority (GACA) and other government agencies to ensure compliance and safety as technology evolves.

As part of the program, Red Sea Global will lead midnight flight sandbox tests within its controlled flights and sustainable development, including the Red Sea and Amaala areas. These areas will serve as ideal testing grounds for testing how evtol aviation can improve connectivity, support re-tourism, and reduce the environmental impact of local transportation systems.

“Evtol emerges as the future of urban passenger travel, and with the right partners, we are happy to be an important part of ensuring that Saudi Arabia is at the forefront of this change in Aviation in Avilosi. “Our cooperation shows confidence in emerging technologies and a shared commitment to this future, more connected tomorrow.”

John Pagano, CEO of the Red Sea Global group, said Alignings Comnign with RSG’s mission to redefine sustainable mobility and mobility. “Partnering with THC and Archer to explore the integration of EVTOL aircraft in our areas aligns well with re-tourism, creating clean, connected, and connected ways for guests to experience the beauty of Saudi Arabia.”

Adam Goldstein, founder and chief executive officer of Archer Alliance, added: “An important part of Archer’s strategy is partnering to show that Saudi Arabia’s airlines are being prepared in such a way that Archer’s Midnight Aillform is transforming travel within the Kingdom.”

After the completion of the sandbox phase, the partners will evaluate the results and test the large-scale deployment of evtol throughout Saudi Arabia.

The initiative supports vision 2030, underlines the ambitions of the State to develop sustainable innovations and position itself as a global leader in the next movement.
