Inside Jeffrey Epstery’s relationship with Saudi Arabia

At the end of 2016, Jeffrey Epsterin flew his private gulfstream G550 only from Paris to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and it came to travel with a savish gift Mr. Bin Monman. It was a tent, “carpets and everything,” as he later described it. Bedouin tents, in Middle Eastern culture, are a symbol of hospitality.
What Epstein was doing to be honored with that gift is still a mystery.
This is one of several meetings and interactions Epstrein had with world leaders, according to emails and documents released in recent weeks detailing him in the last years of his life. They also included meetings with other members of the Saudi royal family.
Bin Salman A visit to Washington this week and meeting with President Trump. It is a big moment for the Kingdom as it seeks to improve its global image after the killing of a journalist in 2018 Jamal Khashoggi. Until now, Epsterin’s business dealings with the State and members of the royal family have largely avoided scrutiny.
Much of that information comes from the release of hundreds of text messages, emails and other documents sent to the oversight committee by Epsterin’s estate as part of the committee’s investigation. The revelations about the tent and carpets were contained in emails between Epstein and Hyatt Executive Chairman Tom Pritzker.

There is no evidence that anyone involved in the Saudi government was involved in anything related to Epstein’s alleged sex trafficking.
Why Epstein’s estate chose to release certain documents is unclear. The release is in response to a subpoena that includes requests for documents related to his finances, and potential victims. The release may be part of what material is available at Epsterin’s Communications, and it is not clear whether there will be a future release that may provide more details. Epsterin has maintained extensive contact with his employees, financial clients and friends over the years.

Some signs of a connection between Epstein and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have faded since his death. Authorities found an Epsterin photo of Bin Salman prominently displayed in his Manhattan Mansion, according to the New York Times.
After Epsterin’s arrest in 2019, officials also discovered that he was holding an Austrian passport that expired in 1980 with his photo and a false name, which listed his residence in Saudi Arabia.
