Trump asks McDonald’s for tartar sauce on top of filet-o-fish at the convention

Speaking at a McDonald’s influencer conference, President Donald Trump urged the company to put more tartar sauce on filet-o-fish.
President Donald Trump gave McDonald’s leadership, a less than favorable opinion in the case of how the giant chain can improve the iconic Filet-O-File.
“I love fish. I love it. You can make a little bit more tartar sauce,” Trump said while speaking at a McDonald’s conference in Washington, DC. He added that he hates asking for too much sauce.
In the same speech, Trump joked that he was the first chef ever to be a McDonald’s driver to run for President, taking a closer look at his famous 2024 campaign. He then took a swipe at his opponent in the 2024 race, Vice President Kamala Harris, and said he was far from far, even though he said he worked at McDonald’s.

“I am honored to stand before you as the first ever fey McDonald’s chef ever to exist in the United States,” Trump said. “And actually there was about 30 minutes, and that was 30 minutes longer than Kamala was there, despite her job at McDonald’s.”
Trump then thanked a McDonald’s employee who informed his campaign that Harris had never worked for Harden Arches.
He also expressed his love for McDonald’s, which he called one of the Fast-Food Giants “of all time the most reliable.”
“I’m one of your most loyal customers,” Trump said. “Well, some politicians fly around in campaign planes full of expensive attachments, when Trump forced one – before getting on one plane, which is only a good place – we only served McDonald’s.”

The President said that during the campaign he received Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) Robert F. Kennedy jr. Eating a big Mac and “loved it.” Trump joked that the health-conscious Kennedy “doesn’t want what’s going to be shared.”
When I spoke at the conference, the President discussed the broader issue of affordability, not contributing to his success, while admitting that some products were still more expensive than they should be.
“We have a few things like coffee, which is a little bit higher. We’ll figure that out,” Trump said. He also recalled that earlier this morning, he was asked about the price of eggs almost after taking office.

Despite acknowledging the high price of coffee, Trump pointed out that the economy has multiplied under his leadership.
“In the last six months, the price of breakfast items has fallen 14%,” Trump said. “Bread prices are low, milk prices are low, and the price of eggs is down 86% since March. We want to thank you for the very popular prices.
He said the stock market is showing the revenge that its managers have worked to achieve, adding that the stock market has reached 48 all-time highs within nine months. Trump also said that the American people realize that the country is “doing better.” The President asserted that things will only improve.
“This new level of prosperity is going to happen,” he said. “We’re looking at accessibility. We’re going to bring everyone down.”

Trump concluded his remarks by painting McDonald’s as a partner in his vision for an improved economy.
“So, together we’re going to make America better, tougher, meaner, and happier than ever. And you can be very proud of the work you’ve done. And it’s an honor to be with McDonald’s,” he said.
