Emirates is extending a major retrofit program
The Retrofit program builds on Emirates’ track record of continuous investment in its products and services. First announced in 2021 with 120 aircraft delayed for overhaul, the airline extended its recall program to its 1924 aircraft before continuing to include 219 annual aircraft.
So far, 76 aircraft have been added, with each A380 needing about 22 days and each Boeing 777 taking 18 days to return.
The business class on both the A380 and Boeing 777 will receive a sophisticated upgrade with Emirates’ latest HEATINGS, inspired by the luxurious Safran leather seats that are already part of its A350 fleet. The new, lightweight SafAf Z400 seats, designed specifically for long-haul operations, will be used in economy class. This includes an eight-point adjustable Headrest in the neck and head support.
