Head of cybertruck program quits tesla. The leader of the Y model left many hours

If we assume for a moment that Tesla’s recent decline is due to mismanagement, caused directly by people with the job title “Program Manager,” then Tesla is on its way to a big improvement. CyberTruck’s Program Manager – who also managed the Model 3 – just left the company, followed a few hours later by the model’s program manager.
In the third quarter of this year, Tesla sold 5,385 cyberstrucks from the same point in 2024. Octoberx stars of Electrex and XAI buy Cyberruck inventory excess. There was a recall last month of 63,000 cyberrucks due to very bad headlights, and that comes after the correct 46,000 cyber-metal were stored where the cyber cyber-iron was stored and revealed the guts of the un-cyber car underneath.
“I just made one of the hardest decisions of my life,” CyberTruck CEO Siddhant Awasthi wrote in a post on Sunday. There is no real explanation for the mere decision to praise the company. And to be clear, we saw no evidence to ask them to leave. You may simply move on to greener pastures.
Awasthi notes in his signature post at Signature Tesla that it happened “all before hitting 30.” Indeed, it turns out that in the year 2017, when he was 23 years old, he was a student at the University of Cincinnati working on a school project related to the concept of “Hyperloop”. The eight-year Tesla Tenure he describes in his LinkedIn post shows he joined Tesla at the same time.
According to Reuters, it was “a few hours later” that Emmanuel Lamacchia, who held the same title as Awasthi, also left Tesla. “It’s what the journey is all about,” said Lickia’s LinkedIn Post.
According to Auto and Motor, the Model Y is the most popular model in the country, despite 2025 sales falling 23 percent from the same place in 2024.
A Reuters story on Lamacchia’s exit notes that “Senior Executives” left Tesla last year. One of those, David Zhang, led the Model S and Model X programs.
Gizmodo asked Tesla why Awasthi and Lamacchia left the company, and will update when we hear back.
At the end of last month in the Tislaing Reampling Realings Call, Elon Musk said that “corporate terrorists” may stand in the way of shareholders who send the offering a paid package. But the shareholders ended up making that pledge after all and now you will be a trillionaire if Tesla fulfills a certain set of goals.
Some of those goals involve selling cars, but most include Tesla in the company of the future, automation and robots that Elon Musk has been promising goals recently such as 1 robotaxis 1 robots. It is likely that Tesla and Musk will need brave and talented program managers to implement these lessons.
