How to play pips
If you’ve ever played dominoes, you’ll have some familiarity with how pips are played. As we shared in our previous advice stories for pips, tiles, like Dominoes, are placed vertically or horizontally and interact. The main difference between the traditional game of Dominoes and pips is the color-coded situations you have to deal with. The emotional tiles don’t have to be the same.

Conditions to meet are specific to color-coded spaces. For example, if it provides a single number, every side of the tile in that space must add up to the given value. It is possible – and common – for only the essence of a tile to be in a color-coded area.
Here are some typical examples you’ll run into at all difficulty levels:
-
Number: All pips in this space must add to the no.
-
– Once: All half dominoes in this space must be the same number of pips.
-
It doesn’t fit: All half dominoes in this space must have a completely different number of pips.
-
Less than: All half dominoes in this space must add up to less than a number.
-
Greater than: All half dominoes in this space must add up to a number.
If an area has no coloring, then there are no shapes in the dominoes inside those spaces.
