The road closures will begin in the afternoon, and Israel Police and Netvei in Israel have asked the public to avoid driving through the entrance to Jerusalem for the rest of the day.
Heavy disturbances and more disruptions are expected in Jerusalem and the roads leading to the city from 12:00 PM on Thursday due to many Ultra-Orthodox protests against the draft haredi law.
The Israel Police and Israel Highway announced that Route 1 will be closed in both directions, from the Latrun area to Ginot Sakharov, including the entrance to Jerusalem via Route 16 and Sha’ar Hagai, depending on developments during the protests.
Netivei Israel asked the public to use other routes, including routes 443, 44, 38, and 3.
The police issued a request to the public to avoid Highway 1 and recommended that they avoid driving at the entrance to Jerusalem throughout the day.

In addition, Israel Railways announced that Jerusalem’s Navhak Navon train station will be closed at 12:30 until normal service continues at the end of the protest.
All train lines and stations except Yitzhak navon will operate as usual.
The Netivei Israel National Traffic Management Center will operate a traffic control unit dedicated to managing traffic on the roads and monitoring the police in real time, in cooperation with security officials.
About 2,000 police officers will be on duty for the event
As part of the preparations, approximately 2,000 police officers, volunteers and border guards will be on duty before and during the event.
The Rally, coordinated in advance by the police, will take place at the entrance to the city of Jerusalem.
Entry into Jerusalem via Highway 1 will be limited to pre-arranged buses, which will be directed by police to pick-up points at Givat Shaul Junction.
Residents and workers of Jerusalem around the communities, Shoresh, beeit meir, Neve Ilan, Mevaseret Zion, Ebu Ghosh, Ein Rafa, and Ein Nekuba will be allowed to pass through the police only cards or identification of workers.
In addition, major streets in Jerusalem will be closed to traffic, including Givat Shaul Street and part of Yafe Street.
Givat Shaulunge will be closed in all directions, Ben ZVI-Rabi-Shmuel Baruch Street will be closed at the entrance to the city, Herzl Boulevard will be closed between Bali Mitamitarim, Malki yisrael-Shari Yisrael-Shari Nordo Square and Yirmiyahu Street.
