A federal judge on Tuesday issued a ruling saying it did. Bill Essayli is not officially in that role, but he refused to recall the criminal allegations leveled by defense attorneys.

The US attorney’s office in Los Angeles did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Seabright’s decision comes amid similar challenges across the country to the Trump administration’s tactics to include loyalists who use the power to bring criminal charges and impeachment.
A federal judge in August suspended Alina Habba from the US Attorney’s Office in New Jersey, despite the pending appeal. Last month the Federal Judge was coordinated by the prosecutor of the Federal Opter Federal, Stigal Chattah, from several cases, concluding that “he did not work legally as an Attorney of the Agreement.” Chattah’s disqualification is also on hold while the Justice Department appeals the decision.
