Major airports hit by ground shutdowns and flight delays across the country

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy discusses the impact of the nationwide government shutdown and President Donald Trump’s approval of the Alaska Mineral Road in Alaska on ‘The Will Cain show.’
Major airports across the US were shut down or delayed Sunday as the government shutdown continued.
Newark Libentray Airport in New Jersey issued a ground delay on Sunday until 12:59 a.m. at the next time, with flights delayed for about 82 minutes on average, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
In Boston, a ground hold was issued until 4:30 pm local time at Logan International Airport due to a disabled plane on the runway.
Around 8:30 in the morning, it is reported that the lack of staff has caused the ground to stop flights at the Los Angeles International Airport. The landscape was raised later, according to Ktla.

The FAA did not immediately respond to Fox Business’ request for comment. An automatic response from the agency said, “Due to a lack of funding, the FAA is not responding to general media inquiries.”
The response also looked at the challenges that apply to the entire system, noting, “as [Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy] It means, the shortage of workers in the whole system has increased. When that happens, the FAA slows down traffic at other airports to make sure it’s safe [operations]. “

He vowed to slow down the operation of slow-moving vehicles if needed to ensure safety is not compromised.
