Riverside Park’s stagnant lake will be connected to the Acushnet River to restore salt marsh and restore habitat in a $50,000 project. The project is part of a larger effort to restore the new Bedford Harbor, a superfund site that is now 99% cleanup. The restoration will create a vibrant, healthy Salt Marsh Cabit area and is part of a major recreational trail for the river.

Dardmouth town meeting passes all 14 articles with approval Tuesday night, Oct. 21, at Dartmouth High School, including one that turns the tide after a difficult year with enough water to reach the city.

With the steel frame of New Bedford’s Congdon-Devalles Elementary School on the outskirts of South Africa now complete, things appear to be on track for a January 2027 opening.

The new school – at 350 Bolton St. – we will replace Congdon schools and show primary schools, both in the South End. Cogdon stands among the oldest school buildings in the city, one of the few built in 1907.

What is special about the building? Congdon-Devernes School will be Bedford’s first.

And the passing motorists entered with the sponsorship at a very large scale – it seems that they seem to be carrying a beep – as they drove by the protesters who lined Rockdale avenue in front of Buttultwood Park.
