How vtuber clip channel lead to DIPTON involvement

Back in 2021, Vil was just another follower, running a small YouTube channel where he shared his favorite vtuber moments. That’s when he stumbled upon the streams of AVA Lang – and something clicked.

Four years later, he was in the same room on the balcony at TtptCON 2025, asking Ava to marry him.

Like many modern romances, the love story between vtubers Vil and Ava Lamp started online. “I liked her personality, content, and model,” Vil told Mashable Atptcon 2025, adding that he liked her “comedy” and “her” vtube model.

“So, I followed him and started hacking him [streams]and saw the clips,” he said.

From there, online friendships began to grow. They talked a lot, worked together, and eventually, Vuli became a vtuber himself. Before long, the two were separated online – “best friends,” as he put it.

He started to fall for her, but Ava was clear: There was no chance of falling in love. She was a lesbian, and she would never date another content creator. He joked about hiding,” he joked to Mashable.

After two years, friends decided to go to Typing ConpOn 2023 with a group of girlfriends. It may be the first time you meet someone. They shared a hotel room with a friend and spent all three days side by side – laughing, exploring, and, of course, confusing everyone around them.

Their friends kept asking if they were dating. They laugh and deny it. Of course not! It makes fun of it.

“We spent most of the weekend together, and it’s great,” she said. “You know when you just click on someone? Do you have a hard time? That’s what I feel. Because I could tell you. Because I’m not going to love you.'”

On the last day of the meeting, he wrote a note on his phone on the back of the uber and gave it to her. “Please don’t hate me,” she said.

The message, as you remember, went something like this: “I know I said I would never fall in love with someone and I would never fall in love with the Creator of the content, but after seeing you personally, I feel you personally.”

“It was funny because he didn’t actually ask me at any point in the note,” Vil said. “It was his blurring of feelings about this letter. As far as I know, this was a zero percent chance of that happening. And now, it was a hundred percent chance.”

After that Uber, they went straight to the big questions – marriage, children, travel. They just knew each other as friends, but now they needed to know if they were compatible. It appeared? It’s been a long time.

There was just one problem: distance. They live across the country from each other. So, the next year, they made it work long distance. They go to see each other every month, meet together, and even wear those bracelets that someone else touches theirs.

After TiptCON 2024, they decided it was time. Ava carried her life into a U-haul, and they made a cross-country drive, between two hurricanes.

Wil said: “Driving a Haul was scary. “I only drove one or two big trucks. So, along with all the things in my partner’s life, it’s a truck.”

Ava reassured him: “Nothing bad happened, though.

As they sat down with mashables at the San Diego Convention Center for Tptpcon 2025, the two were holding each other’s hands, both wearing silver bracelets with red jewels – their long-standing replacement. Living together, Ava said, was “a big bummer” because “we finally get to spend all our time together.”

As the great reminders of their relationship are bound with dippcon – they met in person at TtptCon 2023, and at Tywpcon 2024, they moved together – they have been informed together – they have been informed.

Vil started a secret group chat with all their friends, everyone except AVA. On the morning of the first day of the convention, Ava took her time getting ready while trying to stay calm.

“I tried to play it cool,” he joked, but the engagement ring – temporary until the real ring, made from stones from his grandmother and great-grandmother, was ready – was burning a hole in his pocket.

“I was checking it carefully to make sure it didn’t come out,” she said.

“I saw you look in your pocket a few times, but I didn’t catch that. I thought you were worried about losing your phone or something,” he laughed.

They also held a meeting, but he was determined to reach the conference center. He had a plan: a balcony overlooking the sea. Ava, however, wanted to stop with the mpuna table first.

“Last year, he wanted to take her and it was sold, and I knew I didn’t want that to happen,” she said. “And then he’s like, ‘Can we get him real quick? I want to make sure I get it before anything happens.’ In my head, I’m like, ‘No, we need to go!’ But I don’t want him to miss the seller either. So I go, ‘Yeah, yeah, okay, but can we try to be faster?’ “

Finally, they reached the balcony. Their friends, who were all in the movement, asked other organizers to remove the place. Then Vil told Ava to check on some of the disagreements. He opened his phone – he saw a piece of commissioned art of his vtuber Persona proposing to them. When he looked up, he was in the same room.

He doesn’t remember exactly what he said. All he remembers is yes.

“[I love] How sweet you are and how you wear your heart on your shirt, “said Ava when asked what she likes most about him.” And you’re not afraid to be emotional. I love how sweet you are and who you are. “

After that Vil cried.

“I like where you are,” she told him. In the past, people had tried to suppress her happiness, she said. “I’m so happy that you can be yourself and just hug her. She loves fashion. She loves to dye her hair. And I love that we can be me.”
