Tech Billionaire Marc Benioff is looking back on his support for President Donald Trump’s Marc using the National Guard in San Francisco.
Ron Conway, a Democratic philanthropist and board member of The Salesforce Foundation, left his position at Benioff’s company last week. Conway announced his resignation in an email directly to Benioff, the Salesforce CEO.
“I am very sad to say that with your recent comments, and the failure to understand their impact, I have now not seen the person I once loved,” Conway told Benioff, according to an email obtained by the San Francisco Standard.
“I have expressed to you, time and time again, in recent days, that I am shocked and disappointed by your comments on the attack on SAN FRANCISCE, and other illegal activities,” said some of the unofficial terms.

“We are very grateful for Ron Conway and his incredible contributions to the Salesforce Foundation board for more than a decade,” a company spokesperson said in a statement.

Beniaff revealed his support for the Trump Trooper deployment in an interview with The New York Times earlier this month.
“We don’t have enough police, so if [the National Guard] You can be the police, I’m all about it,” Benioff said.
He added: “I fully support the president. I think he’s doing a good job.”
