This week, apple has announced the fall of hardware updates for most devices – well the main category, except for iPhones and airpods. Don’t get too excited: It’s not a reinvention, but we expect visual performance to surpass both the iPad Pro and Macbook Pro.
With the new M5 chip (no Pros or MAXs or MAXs yet), Apple used the same 3-nanometer fabrication process for the M5 as it did for the M4. The new chip has 10 GPU cores and 10 CPU cores, as well as 16 neural engines. Apple says the M5 has the “world’s fastest CPU” with 20 percent faster performance compared to the M4 Chip of the MacBook Pro. Graphics performance is also very encouraging. The M5 MacMacon Pro ($ 1,599), besides, has the same specifications of its M4 Prerestitions, in the straight lines, the weight and the 70-watt power adapter.
Meanwhile, inside the iPad Pro, Apple says it has more than four times the PPU performance of the M4’s GPU. If you want to use the new iPad Pro for video tasks, Apple says video transcoding is six times faster than the $999 11-inch model and $1,299 13-inch model.
And it seems that there are more M5 chips to use: the Vision Pro gets one with a band that looks amazing. The M5 Vision Pro should last half an hour longer than the original model, too, according to Apple.
