Sidel has opened a new office in Lagos to strengthen its operations and sustainable packaging systems in West Africa.
Located in Phoenix, Ikeja, the new Hub is expected to enhance project management, engineering, and customer services for clients in Nigeria, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, and neighboring markets.
The company, known for its packaging solutions in beverages, food, and personal care, said the Lagos base will help it better respond to local needs and drive the adoption of sustainable packaging technology in the region.

By working closely with customers, Sidel aims to provide better technical support and information sharing in the final apasing.
Nigeria’s position as the largest consumer market in Africa makes it an important location for packaging development.
With a population of 230 million, the country’s food and beverage sector is estimated at USD 54.1 billion by 2024 and is expected to grow by nearly 6% by 2033.
Across West Africa, increasing consumer awareness of health, quality, and sustainability is shaping packaging trends.
The need for reusable and lightweight materials – such as pet bottles, glass, and aluminum cans – is driving companies to find more efficient and effective methods.
Sidel’s technologies, including Evoblow, EvoFill Glass, and Super Combi, are designed to reduce material waste and energy consumption while maintaining high performance. These innovations align with the region-wide transition towards circular and sustainable packaging systems.
Sidel has already developed partnerships with several African companies. In Nigeria, it worked with Strongpack to install one of the fastest domestic water lines, featuring ActIS ™ technology to extend Bottle Shelf life.
In Ghana, the company has installed Twellium Industrial Kumasi plants with rapid stakes for domestic animals and advanced labeling systems.
The new Lagos office will also focus on developing local engineering skills, creating Jobs, and supporting clients’ sustainability goals.
