Meta adds new youth account boundaries between increasing concern for mental health

The META changes how teens use Instagram, issues new restrictions such as stressful pressure on top of the app’s impact on the psychiatric health.
“We really have your back. We have done a lot of research with parents so that we really understand the kinds of things that concern” Tara Hopkins spokesman said on Wednesday at “fox and friends.”

“This means that youths will see the Instagram content similar to what they can see in PG-13 Movie.”
Hopkins said the company has chosen a movie rate model to help parents feel comfortable to decide what is better in their family.
“The one is the most common example for parents,” he said.

“Teens of teens grow with movies and understand they are much better than maybe they can understand how a company like Meta will talk about our content ratio.”
The company says that new new users will be automatically installed in PG-13 and will not be able to opt out of the parents’ consent.

“We care about this. We want parents to have the guarantee that when their child uses Instagram, they are very close and low-level 18. ”
