Transcript: Sen. Chris Murphy on “Behake Nation and Margaret Brennan,” Oct. 12, 2025

The following is an interview and Sen text. Chris Murphy, Democrat of Connecticut, removed “facing the nation and Margaret Brennan” in Oct. 12, 2025.
Margaret Brennan: And join us now, here in Estudio, with Connecticut Democratic Senator Chris Murphy. Thank you for being with us.
Senator Chris Murphy: Yes.
Margaret Brennan: On this topic, I know you have a big difference with the President, but this time, this is a clear winner?
Sen. Murphy: Yes, it is very important that we end the fire. It is important for these groups to return home, and congratulate the interviewers in doing this. There is, no politicians about this time, as you will see some tear reiles tomorrow, hoping the release as these are transported. But watching those devastating pictures of what the Gaza looks today, and both painful and softening that the offense has been on the table for over a year. And it is Benjamin and Tanyahah, because of his political thoughts, trying to protect himself, the power to find peace and find the kidnappers away today. So, this will be a good week, but as reported, there are great issues to come. Israel is not completely refolly in Gaza. There is no clear way to the power of the safety and rulership will look like in the country. Certainly there is a risk of enemies that start and if we are not addressed in this first phase and reach the decisions about what Gaza looks next year.
Margaret Brennan: President Bilidi was unwilling to put this kind of pressing Benjamin and Tanyahu. President Trump has. Your point is that it should be a continuing stress of seeing the rest of this method. My understanding –
Sen. Murphy: Yes. I mean, listening, I think, I think it is in Lenanyahu, and Netanyahu will just go if she thinks her relationship with the United States is at stake. And then, obviously, pressure will be required to continue to be strong and lasting.
Margaret Brennan: Now let me ask you in one way the communication that requires just a road. He has asked the democrats to strengthen its rows to oppose the President of the United States. However, this pain is further in addition to the cost of shutdown. And when do Democrats will show something change in this?
Sen. Murphy: Well, I listened to the President of the vapor, and never live. –
Margaret Brennan: – What do you mean? –
Sen. Murphy: – The truth is, well, because there are no chats that happen now because Republicans collect those details. They are chat rooms for opening up with government because they wish to increase premiums for people in the country by 75% to sponsor their taxes with tax deduction. Their very important end is protecting the Billionaire section and the company class. Another reason is that the city’s house is not currently trying to re-open the government, because it is about enough votes to appeal the exemptions of EPSTERIN files. So the JD Vento and Donald Trump’s Number’s Most Important Protects Billionaires, Protecting Companies and To Upgrade Premiums, 75% of America citizens. Therefore, I think Democrats should say if you want our votes to the budget, there is no corrupt budget. The number of budgets will reduce the lives of central classrooms in this country to protect and reward billions. That’s the best request.
Margaret Brennan: You talk about the premiums that will increase the average $ 1,000, with those who use some of these –
Sen. Murphy: – That’s exactly what is normal, but with Connecticut, some families will see an increase of $ 25,000 in premiums. Also, to be able to afford the $ 270,000 tax cut off the richest families in the country. –
Margaret Brennan: – Because it was not closely addressed when the Democrats had leadership here. But you heard the president of the vaper said, when it came to health care, management opened to the conversation, we want to reduce insurance premiums. That was an average there. Are there any obvious when it is open?
Sen. Murphy: I mean, no conversations occurred, in large part because the household was arriving. –
Margaret Brennan: – Right. –
Sen. Murphy: – They have been on the construction of five weeks of the week because they do not want to risk their billion’s determination and they do not want to speak the illegal. I mean, that’s what else we should talk about about the jets. If we are to support this controlled, we need to pay for legal management. I can suck, Margaret, to vote for the budget that allows the President to travel and spend money only in Republicans and spend money in the Democrat regions.
Margaret Brennan: But this is just the seventh week we talk about this time, short term –
Sen. Murphy: – Okay, a long-term budget should seek that the President is involved in a major event. But a short-term covenant, surely we will certainly not fix all the current problems in the form of the way the President conducts the world.
Margaret Brennan: But she has been critical in the past of the strategy to choose to close the government. 2018, the background in 2013 was when it was a discussion of health care. What you said in 2018.
[SOT]Sen. Murphy: The future of the American Health Care System was a legitimate public policy, as there is no discussion between government closure, trying to use our culture and all these work and work.
[END SOT]Margaret Brennan: Don’t you today do what was criticized about it?
Sen. Murphy: No, that was more fighting, the nature, a long structure of an American health care system. This is an emergency. About the month, the premiums will increase by people in 75% and we must decide that this budget will allow you to happen or to quit. What happens in Chicago is currently an emergency. What happens to FCC as they try to close the free speech in the country is an emergency. We therefore have the responsibility in this future budget to prevent disaster in their families in the premiums that are going to rise, and deal with the destruction of our democracy and the rule of the country.
Margaret Brennan: But you are not-
Sen. Murphy: Those are an emergency.
Margaret Brennan: Don’t trust that if you vote to open the government and discuss ways differently in health care, that will be available?
Sen. Murphy: Not.
Margaret Brennan: Because that’s what is contrary to the president of the pin here, that is like Democrats and say that they want to negotiate.
Sen. Murphy: No, you cannot trust this controlled. And I think it’s important to remember that we hadn’t closed when Joe Beniden was president, and the reason because we didn’t play the sports type of the Republican playing. Joe Biden and Democrats, when we carried a Senate, negotiated with the Republic and avoided closures. This closing occurs because the Republicans wishes to prevent their taxes. And all we ask for- not asking for the restoration of the entire American Health Care program. We simply say, does not do things worse by raising premiums, sometimes for $ 25,000 a year.
Margaret Brennan: But a little leader pulled out a chalkbewwl conversation this week. I mean there is also empty political bones for this. And in that discussion, he said, He said, every day this goes on, every day getting better for us. Speaker of the house said this was a costly statement.
Sen. Murphy: Yes, they can be a type of time to give the Democrats say. Listen, first Americans. And yes, it is true, just like all day –
Margaret Brennan: But you have criticized Sechamer in the past, back in March, to say, we should stand up and do something. Is this a strategy just say, hey, getting up?
Sen. Murphy: No. Since every day goes on, there are many reports that are many broken JD Vento and President Trump and say, yes, we should be determined to sit down and discuss the problem of health care that is about to attend this country. There are many republicans and the State of the President. Therefore, as every day goes on, many reports are willing to stand up and protect democratic democracy, and hope it will protect powetbooks, and there will be protected, these are the largest people in health care.
Margaret Brennan: Yes, but at the time, there is also not a problem for some of these people.
Sen. Murphy: Where is the house of the representatives, Margaret? They are on vacation. The only way you can solve closure to have two clans in the negotiating Washington. This is easy. Republicans have decorative conversations. They are in the process of protecting Witnesses throughout the country, refusing to renew work. If they are bad by sitting down and reopening the government, they will be in Washington instead of the country.
Margaret Brennan: Senator Murphy, thank you at your time.
Sen. Murphy: You appreciate you.
Margaret Brennan: We will go back.
