A closer look at a 20244-25 student learners
The data is recently released from the North Carolina response tests that provided understanding that the students are skilled in each school district.
In Gaston County, 48.4% of over 41,000 students are considered a higher level, according to exams.
Here is a closer look at us whether the skills of local students are changed each study year in the year 2023-25-25.

At School Board meeting on September 15, Tonya Kales and Kelly Cunningham gave a presentation by comparing 2024 results with 2025 results.
In fruits, 3-8 marks had a total number of 49,8 in 2025, an increase of 2.3 percent from last year.
Each 2025 points for each grade 2025 and how it changed in points from the last year:

Grade Fourth – 50.6, +4.3

At the high school level, 38.9% of the North Carolina Math I have a summary, a decrease of 6.8 percent from last year.
In addition, 59.1% of the students taking NC Math III at high school level received the skilled scores, an increase of 5.8 percent from the previous year.
Kales said more than 95% of the 12th grade students took III statistics passed in class, the same effect on the past year.
Science and Biology
Science testing applies to the fifth and eighth grade students. This year, the State allows for a new test and science levels, so no comparison with previous year’s score, according to the Chesses.
In the first year, the new test, 55.4% of the fifth grade and 53% of the eighth grade students receive skilled scores.
In the High School Biology test, 41.2% of the students were skilled.
Reading and language
Learning testing indicated that 45.3% of the third-eight grades were still skilled, an increase of 1.8 percent from the past year.
Here is how each grade level has received, and the percentages of which rises or decreases.

At the High School level, 51.8% of the English II was skilled, one percent point under the past year.
Some places
For eleven grade students who took the law, the 45,8% skilled assessment, an increase of 14.9 percent from the previous year.

For students who have taken employee tests, 55.9% have received a silver certificate or more, a decrease of 5.7 percent from last year.
Students in Gaston County schools work for skills in English and this year, 33 percent of those skilled students, 6,4 percent from the past year, Kases said.
