Does cultivation under solar panels take off?

Harpal Dagar has been on the farm under the suns of the five years [Harpal Dagar]

“Like a farmer, he is always merciful,” Halal Dagar said on the outskirts of Delhi.

He says: “Many times, we ran out of our sports because of unpredictable circumstances.

But five years ago he approached the Lenga Freedom, a sun-based company based on a sun, with a covenant that could give him a very important money.

The proposed Sun Master who built soles on the sun above other fields in Mr Dagar, with high enough panels in the ground, that they can continue to grow under it.

Under the 25th anniversary, Mr Dagar would receive annual payments and the king of Lunga would keep money from the gas made.

“When the Solar company arrives at the beginning of us … Many of us are afraid to lose our world. It sounds so good to be true – perhaps even a scale,” said Mr Dagar.

“But today, I believe it was the best decision I made. My salary is three times again, and I lay in peace without the pressure of the weather or the failure of the weather,” he said.

The Sun Master is paying for about $ 1,200 (£ 900) for a hammer, and $ 170 a month to work and keep the solar panels.

“Even Turmeric growing in the same world is mine to sell. How can I complain?”

Cleaning solar panels above crops traveling by the name Agrivoltaics.

India could seem ready for such invention. Many farmers often accumulate in the unpredictable monsoon, so the reliable money from the solar energy firm will provide financial safety.

But despite the benefits, take the 40 projects working in India currently, according to the National Setric Energy Federation of India (NSEFI), representing the Indian energy industry.

There are several challenges.

Not all crops will grow under solar panels. According to the building, the light reduced light panels pass between 15% and 30%. Some DENSER structures will prevent too much sun from getting shaped crops including wheat, rice, soys or pulses.

“What works well in higher demands with moderate or low demands, such as green leaves, spices like turmeric, DEO, DO, SUNDED SARAF, Agrivoltaics.

There is a cost problem.

To allow gardening under, solar panels require at least 11ft (3.5m) on the ground. That makes them between 20% and 30% expensive to include than the panels of common farming farm, where they are very close to the ground.

“Young farmers cannot have these programs. They do not have a risk of danger or capital,” Mr Saraf said.
